Monday, Aug. 24 saw UNI’s math club host a variety of yard games on Lawther Field as a way for students to unwind after the first week of classes and learn about what the math club has to offer. The games consisted of bags, beersby, kubb, frisbee and more.

Proper COVID-19 guidelines were enforced for this event, including social distancing and a mask mandate.

This is one of many events the Math Club hosts at UNI, including monthly meetings with invited mathematical speakers, hosting the UNI integration Bee, celebrating Pi Day, field trips to math-related sites and game nights,

UNI’s Math Club is a student organization for mathematics majors and lovers. The purpose is to provide UNI students opportunities to learn and pursue mathematics outside of class and gather to celebrate their love of mathematics.
