UNI President Mark Nook was dressed up in his ‘Cats who Care’ gear to celebrate UNI’s Day of Service on April 8.

Cedar Falls Mayor Danny Laudick attended and spoke at the Panther Innovation Lab, which took place in the Maucker Union Ballroom.

A group of student athletes traaveled to the Northeast Food Bank, along with Pete Moris, Director of University Relations

Multiple projects included the planting and potting of seeds, which ranged from community gardens to plant trees.

Ashley Homestore was one of many local contributors to UNI’s Day of Service. Students helped deliver over 100 bed frames around the Cedar Valley.

Students volunteered for many projects, including a project that provided beds and bed frames for those in need.

Two sessions of food packing took over the McLeod Center, and the meals will go to people in need of healthy, hearty food.

City wide clean up was a part of almost every project on the list. From raking leaves to cleaning up public trails, UNI students, faculty, and staff did it all.
